The Engine Room (Maskinrummet in Danish) is an open‑source platform that students can legally use in their coursework to explore AI, machine learning, and bias. The interface gives students a unique opportunity to see how AI works behind the scenes and understand how datasets and probability models shape the outputs they see.
The Engine Room brings together a series of learning modules on natural language processing and text‑generating AI in one unified environment. The platform has been developed in collaboration with more than 100 upper‑secondary students (1st and 3rd year) and teachers in Danish, Informatics, and Mathematics, as well as pupils and teachers in the middle years of primary school.
