A national panel of experts in Denmark led by Ole Sejer Iversen suggests initiatives to bridge the capacity gap in technology comprehension in K12 education.
The expert panel has analysed the current research and education initiatives and presents recommendations and new initiatives towards:
- Establishment of national Center of Excellence
- Technology comprehension as a new subject with progression from K1 to K12
- Accredited Teachers Training Programmes
The goal is to build K12 education in digital design, construction, empowerment and computational thinking so that coming generations can engage in digital development and contribute to democracy.

The expert panel was appointed by the Danish Association of Universities (Danske Universiteter) and by the Danish Association of University Colleges (teacher’s training – Danske Professionshøjskoler).
