New report (in danish): Computational Thinking - why, what and how?

With support from Villum Fonden, Michael E. Caspersen, director of It-Vest, together with Prof. Ole Sejer Iversen, Prof. Mogens Niels, Postdoc. Arthur Hjort and Ph.d-stud. Line Have Musaeus developed the report (in Danish): Computational Thinking – hvorfor, hvad og hvordan?

The world is increasingly digital, and informatics contribute with radical and transforming development of professions, scientific disciplines and our social lives in general. Computational Thinking and informatics is internationally becoming part of common education on all educational levels.

With support from Villum Fonden, Michael E. Caspersen,  director of It-Vest, together with Prof. Ole Sejer Iversen, Prof. Mogens Niels, Postdoc. Arthur Hjort and Ph.d-stud. Line Have Musaeus developed the report (in Danish): Computational Thinking – hvorfor, hvad og hvordan?

The report describes the vision for informatics and Computational Thinking, as well as the computational revolution that underpins the vision. Examples of the spreading of Computational Thinking in industry and research are given, as well as examples of new, effective and ground-breaking possibilities for computational methods and techniques. The core of the report is in part a status of Computational Thinking in education; international as well as national, among these a description of research activities and the many open questions in need of answers, and in parts a description of the potential for Computational Thinking.
