The report

The report contains an Executive summary and three main parts each presenting a gap analysis of three development goals:

  1. Establishment of national Center of Excellence
  2. Technology comprehension as a new subject with progression from K1 to K12
  3. Accredited Teachers Training Programmes

  • Access the full statement of purpose with 6 development goals through this link (in Danish).

  • Access the full report through this link (in Danish).

Each part of the report is structured as a gap analysis that contains three steps.

The first step is a mapping of research and education initiatives in Denmark from 2017 to July 2020 within K12 Technology Comprehension education. Some international experiences are described to bring perspective. Technology Comprehension competences are defined in the Governmental experiment on Technology Comprehension in Danish Schools as: Digital construction, design, empowerment and computational thinking. The second step is a description of the gap between the three goals and the current initiatives identified by research and field experts. And third is presentation of the recommendations and new initiatives suggested by same group of experts.
