65000 Danish fourth graders will receive a micro:bit

The national Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) has launched a new project involving 65000 Danish fourth graders will focus on working with creativity and teknologi. The School of Communication and Culture at Aarhus University is one of the many organizations that are involved in the project, and we share the ambitions of the project. Ambitions that aim to spark curiosity, enhance technology comprehension, and show children how to use technology and coding to be creative. The project is called ultra:bit and launches in the fall of 2018. During the two following years the 65000 fourth graders will get their own micro:bit. Alongside the project, DR plans to launch multiple programs on their television platform DR Ultra, teacher material, and student material.
